Before I Begin research

Before I begin getting into my research, I need to make sure I know what I need to research. I have come to a conclusion that doing thorough research on censorship and historic representations in music videos wouldn't be of much help to my task because i am creating a music video, not analysing or critiquing one. I will need to do some study into this however, I will need to choose a song and study the music video style of the artist.

I am able to choose if I want to make an alternative music video to an already existing one, or I can choose a song without a music video. Personally, I think it will be easier to pick a song that does not have a music video to it (because 1. it will be difficult to make one better or even equally as good as the original and 2. the original music video will have too much of an influence on my own vision). This way I can look at the artists style of music videos through their other songs, and design one for this task while staying true to their style.
